10th World Congress of Melanoma in conjunction with the 17th EADO Congress

More than 2,150 participants from 60 countries attended the virtual 10th World Congress of Melanoma, held in conjunction with the 17th EADO Congress and under the auspices of the Melanoma World Society (MWS) and the European Association of Dermato-Oncology (EADO) from 15th to 17th April 2021. The first World Melanoma Congress was held in Venice in 1985. Since then, the conference has become an established meeting held every four years. In 2021, the event celebrated its tenth anniversary. Due to the worldwide restrictions related to the Corona pandemic, the conference was not held in Rome as originally planned, but as a virtual meeting.

With 5 streams running in parallel, 220 congress faculty member, 22 virtual booths, 16 satellite symposia, 63 sessions and 3 key note lectures the conference was a complete success. The meeting provided a great opportunity for young doctors and researchers to learn about melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer. Epidemiology, prevention and early detection, diagnosis and staging, surgical and radiotherapy as well as systemic and intralesional therapies were the core topics of the meeting.
